Karrie's interest in children's illustration began in 2012 when she was a stay at home mum, reading lots of children's books with her children. After illustrating some of her own pictures, as shown above, Karrie decided to self-publish her own children's book, which she wrote and illustrated herself.

This led to Karrie being commissioned to illustrate several books for a new self-published author as well as writing another of her Really Haunted... series books.
